Novella Hamilton, 81, Metcalfe County, KY (1939-2020) Mary Novella Ann Harris Hamilton age 81 of Edmonton was born May 23, 1939 in the Pink Ridge Community of Metcalfe County. She departed this life Saturday, September 26, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Novella worked in the grocery business most of her life. She was co-owner of Big Y in Edmonton and after selling the business finished her career working for the Metcalfe County Nursing Home. She was a charter member of the Edmonton Worship Center in Edmonton. Novella will always be remembered for her warm smile and jovial laughter. She was the daughter of the late Selby and Elizabeth Coomer Harris. Besides her parents Novella was preceded in death by her husband Estill Hamilton. Five brothers Otto Cassady, Coy Harris , Joy Harris, Lemmie Harris and Morris Harris. Three sisters. Fern Jeffries, Lois Nuckols, and Bernice Oakes. She is survived by special caregivers, Pam Harris Froedge, Judy Edwards and Grace Bunch. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Novella will be held 1pmCT Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. A walk-through visitation will be held from 5-8pm Wednesday and after 9 Thursday at the funeral home. Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. This story was posted on 2020-09-28 19:11:02
