Adair Co. Cattlemen's Association membership days, Sept 24-26 By Teresa Bright The Adair County Cattlemen's Association will be having Membership Days on September 24-25-26, 2020. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and safety guidelines that must be followed, the Association will be having "membership days" instead of the annual picnic that is traditionally held at the County Extension Office. Beginning on Thursday, September 24, 2020, and continuing through Saturday, September 26, 2020, members of the Association will be on-site at Rex's Cycle Shop, located at 1349 Campbellsville Road in Columbia, to assist in renewal of membership for Cattlemen's Association members. Dues in Adair County are $30 for single membership, and $45 for couples membership. Becoming a member of the Cattlemen's Association also makes one a member of the Kentucky Cattlemen's Association. Once dues are paid, names will be entered into drawings for door prizes valued at $600 in give-a-ways. The drawings will be held at 2pmCT on Saturday, September 26, 2020. You do not have to be present to win. This opportunity is made available for renewal of current memberships, and any prospective members are invited to attend. The Adair County Cattlemen's Association is one of the largest organizations representing farmers. The Association meets about six times a year, hosts an annual Field Day, and provides scholarship opportunities to Adair County students wishing to attend college. Members receive a monthly magazine entitled "Cow Country News" which features hot topics in the industry as well as the most update research for KY cattle producers. For more information about the Adair County Cattlemen's Association, contact the Extension Office at 270-384-2317 or stop by 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY.
