Rebecca Sue Salyer, 79, Jamestown, KY (1941-2020)

Rebecca Sue Conley Salyer passed away on September 7, 2020, in Jamestown KY at the home of her son Tony and wife Ronda. She was 79 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 3pmCT on Thursday, September 9, 2020, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main St., Jamestown, KY. Burial will follow in the Johnson County Memorial Garden in Staffordsville, KY.

Visitation is requested from NoonCT to 3pmCT on Thursday, September 9, 2020 at the funeral home.



Sue was born April 4, 1941 at Winn KY, the daughter of Hobert and Carrie (Blanton) Conley. She became a member of the Oil Springs United Baptist Church on January 22nd, 1957. She married Billy B. Salyer January 1, 1960. One son was born into this union.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her father Hobert, her mother Carrie, 1 brother Marvin Conley and 1 brother-in-law Jack Salyer.

Sue is survived by 1 son William Anthony Salyer and his wife Ronda (Holt) Salyer of Jamestown KY. 1 grandson Sergio Peterson, 1 granddaughter Tara Lanae Salyer and her fiance Darian Carroll of Somerset. 2 sisters Phyllis Pickle of Bowling Green KY. Rouie VanHoose and husband Melvin of Nippa Ky. 2 sisters-in-law Virginia Salyer of Paintsville KY and Martha Conley of Nippa KY. 5 Nephews. Tom Salyer, Jackie Salyer, Danny Conley, Greg Pickle and Mike Pickle. 3 nieces. Rosetta Preston, Anita Frazier, Stephanie Caudill and a host of other family and friends.

Sue retired from Fruit of the Loom Manufacturing after many years of service. Following retirement, she began a family owned business with Bill, Tony and Ronda.

She spent the last years of her life at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, who gave her great care. Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all that loved and knew her.
The one for whom you cared with such abiding love
Has found the wondrous shining path up to her home above
The home where joy forever dwells where loved one await
For us to share her happiness inside of Heaven's Gate.
