Malcolm Dale Carter, 64, Burkesville, KY native (1955-2020) Malcolm Dale Carter of Lula, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 64 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2pmET on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at the Liberty Baptist Church in Lula, GA, with Rev. Eric Stewart & Mr. Ken Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 5, 2020, from 2pmET to 4pmET and from 6pmET to 8pmET at Ward's Funeral Home, 758 Main Street S.W. Gainesville, GA 30501. Please remember to follow all social distancing guidelines for everyone's safety due to the current pandemic. For those who cannot attend, the service will be livestreamed on the Ward's Funeral Home Facebook page. Dale was born December 10, 1955, in Burkesville, Kentucky to Rebecca Grant Carter Melton & the late Malcolm Carter. He retired from Banks County as an Environmental Health Specialist. Dale was a Deacon at Liberty Baptist Church where he was a faithful member. He loved anything Kentucky Wildcats, but especially Kentucky Basketball. Dale was a true family man and treasured making memories with his wife & family. He was an outdoorsman, loving deer hunting and talking about the hunt. He will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his loving wife, Carol M. Carter; son & daughter in law, Chris & Katlyn Carter; daughter & son in law, Jessica & Steve Payne; grandchildren; Chance, Skylar, Myla, Riley Rae & Beau; mother, Rebecca Melton; sister & brother in law, Joyce & Freeman West; several aunts, uncles & a host of other relatives also survive.
