Verna Doris Paige, 79, Munfordville, KY (1941-2020)

Verna Doris Paige of Munfordville passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was 79 years old.

Funeral services for Mrs. Paige will be held at NoonCT on Friday, August 21, 2020, at the Rowletts Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Ford Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6pmCT until 8pmCT on Thursday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, and after 10amCT on Friday at the church.



Born July 14, 1941, in Knob Lick, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Andrew and Minnie Blanche Ferguson.

Mrs. Paige was a homemaker and for over 30 years was a babysitter. Many still lovingly refer to her as Nanny Paige. Mrs. Paige enjoyed the simple things in life and never wanted anything but just basic needs. Mrs. Paige was a faithful member of the Rowletts Baptist Church, a loving wife and mother.

She is survived by two children. David Paige (Deborah Tutor) of Horse Cave and Kathy Embs of Winchester. Two grandchildren. Logan and Paige Embs both of Winchester. One brother and one sister. Randall Ferguson of Knob Lick and Nellie McKinney of Glasgow.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glenvil Sheldon Paige. A son Danny Glen Paige, three siblings. Lavonne Marr, WC Ferguson and Billy Ferguson. Also preceded in death by a son in law Delbert Embs.
