Bernice Juanita Thompson, 88, Green Co., KY (1932-2020)

Bernice Juanita Martin Thompson of Green Co. passed away on August 15, 2020. She was 88 years old.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3pmCT on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Jonathan Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.



Bernice Juanita Martin Thompson was born May 22, 1932 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Annie Vice Allen Martin. She departed this life Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, having attained the age of eighty-eight years, two months, and twenty-three days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Willie Frank Thompson, two sons: Ricky and William Thompson, one grandson: Ryan Thomas Thompson; one great-grandchild: Matthew Thomas Thompson; three brothers: Harrison, Harland and Marshall Martin; and eight sisters: Ella Watson, Omie DeSpain, Katherine Wright, Frances Phelps, Dorothy Wright, Lilly Underwood, Rachel Lynn Martin and Jennie Mae Martin

She is survived by one grandson: Dale Thompson and his wife Alyson of Summersville, five great grandchildren: Payton and Hayley Thompson of Summersville, Taylor and Kelly Thompson, Alyssa and Blake Scott and Gracie Thompson of Greensburg, Laura McCubbins of Summersville; three brothers: Wendell Martin of Louisville, Terry and Arvil Martin of Greensburg and eight sisters: Violet Pike and L.B Jones of Greensburg, Mary Chapman, Pamela Janes, Patsy and Elizabeth Sneed, Betty Potter and Arlene Burton, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to Taylor-Green SPCA. These can be made at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg, who is in charge of the arrangements.
