NAIA announces most fall championships to be moved to spring By Chris Wells The NAIA Council of Presidents voted today to postpone most of the fall championships to spring 2021. Men and women's cross country, men and women's soccer and women's volleyball championships are moved to the spring with a championship dates to be announced later this fall. The football championship will be determined by a COP vote on Friday. Conferences and institutions were given the autonomy to play regular-season games in the fall and winter, ahead of the spring championships, based on regional regulations of COVID-19. Mid-South Conference officials announced on the heels of the NAIA decision that the conference leadership will work over the next several weeks to determine conference scheduling for the 2020-21 season. The NAIA announced that with the change in championships, other adjustments will be considered to ensure student-athletes are not negatively impacted, including temporary eligibility changes.
