Drowning victims students from Miami U in Ohio By Mary ellis Accidental drowning is listed as the cause of death for two 23 year old men from China. Russell County Coroner Mark Coots confirmed that accidental drowning accounted for 23 year old Yanqi Xing and 23 year old Guan Lian losing their lives and he further stated that no foul play was suspected. A man familiar with both victims assisted the Coroner in positively identifying them and notifying next of kin. This is the first case of it’s kind to Coots' knowledge on Lake Cumberland and part of his responsibly was to find a funeral director that handled International transports to get the men back home to China.
