Erazo earns ITA Regional honors

By Chris Wells

Camilo Erazo has been named the 2020 Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Region Most Improved Senior and Senior Player of the Year, ITA officials today.

Erazo was 4-0 in singles and doubles play this season when play was halted due to COVID-19. During his career, Erazo owns a 27-7 singles record and a 26-10 doubles mark.

Erazo is the third Blue Raider to earn a regional most improved senior honor in the program's history. In 2018, Erazo earned ITA East Region Rookie of the Year.

Earlier this month, Erazo was named to the ITA All-America team along with doubles partner Nicolas Garcia after the duo finished ranked 10th in the ITA doubles rankings.

Erazo, along with all spring student-athletes, has been granted an additional year of eligibility by the NAIA due to the 2020 spring season cut short.
