Rice kids having anniversary card shower for parents From the kids The Rice Kids - Jeff, Mary Ann, Sharon & Susan - write to share a special time coming up for their parents, Rev. Dr. Bob & Vivian Rice, on Sunday, May 31, 2020 their 60th wedding anniversary. Our dad served as the Consultant to Local Pastors for the Kentucky Conference for a few years between 2002-2007 at the end of his 50+ years of ministry while living in Campbellsville and working out of Lindsey Wilson College. During those years they attended Columbia United Methodist Church for several of those years and came to love many in the congregation. Before our country was hit with the COVID-19 pandemic, we had planned to have a reception for them in the church where they married in 1960 (the Russellville Methodist Temple) on the very Sunday of their anniversary. However, our current situation and need to maintain their and others' safety will prevent that. So, instead, we wanted to reach out to ask if you could let the congregation know for any members who may still be there who may have known mom & dad, that we're throwing a card party instead. We know what they'd love best is simply to hear from those who have loved them over their time in ministry. So, if anyone is so led, they may send a card to: Bob & Vivian Rice, 1239 Muirfield Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42104 This story was posted on 2020-05-18 00:47:19
