Family Quest - Part Four

By Col. Carlis B. Wilson

Family Lineage
The fourth and last part of my family quest begins at a stand still, on my Wilson family research. I began to ask questions and read about how and where to find family Information.

One day a friend wrote and asked if I had seen the reply to my request on the Wilson GenForum. Shortly after that I got a reply from one of my cousins, who had seen my request at the Adair County Forum. With this contact I was able to go back to James B. Wilson 1704. Then before the week was out I got another reply from a Wilson cousin with more Wilson family information.

At this point I had six generations and three family wills for the second and third generation of James B. Wilson 1704. With the help of other researchers, along with what I already had in old family records. I decided to start The Wilson and Allied Families of Adair County KY Web Site.

After designing and placing online six generation reports, some photos and documents, the site is now a source of family information for the seven families and their allies, including: Wilson, Wheeler, Coomer, Garmon, Farris, Hamilton and Yarberry with over 200 pages of family and historic information, and a good amount of help for the new as well as the experienced researcher.
