Danny Lee Hammond, 71, Adair County, KY Danny Lee Hammond, 71, of Columbia, KY died Friday, May 08, 2020 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. Due to the Covid-19 virus and in accordance with Governor Beshear's orders and the CDC, there will be a private service on Monday at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Dixon Cemetery in Russell County. Bro. John Campbell will be officiating. Born in Somerset, KY he was the son of the late Ernest Hammond and Nora Coffey Hammond of Jamestown, KY who survives. Mr. Hammond attended the Amazing Grace Church. He was a sportsman that loved hunting, shooting guns and enjoying the outdoors. He loved entertaining his family and friends with a joke or story to make them laugh. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Sarah Kathryn Garmon Hammond of Columbia; a son Daniel Hammond (Tasha) of Lawrenceburg, KY; three grandchildren Anabel, Henry and Roselyn Hammond all of Lawrenceburg, KY; several other family and friends also survive.
