Darrell Willis Smith, 59, Greensburg, KY (1960-2020)

Darrell Willis Smith of Greensburg passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020. He was 59 years old.

The family has chosen a drive by viewing for Darrell Willis Smith, to be conducted on Saturday, May 9, 2020, on the front porch of the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY, between the hours of 2pmCT and 3pmCT. Please, everyone must remain in their vehicles at all times while passing and paying their respects. All vehciles must also practice social distancing and maintain a minimum distance of six feet apart.

Respecting Darrell's wishes, cremation will follow the visitation. There will be a celebration of life service at a later date.



Mr. Darrell Willis Smith son of the late Robert Smith and Fannie Bell Willis Smith was born September 18, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. He departed this life Thursday, May 7, 2020 at his home, having attained the age of Fifty-nine years, seven months and nineteen days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He served in the National Guard. He was also a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and the Emmaus Community. He was united in marriage to his wife Donna Wright Smith on March 28, 1980.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
  • A son, Justin Smith and his wife Taler of Greensburg
  • Two brothers, Dennis Smith of Columbia and Gary Smith and his wife Phyllis of Greensburg.
  • A sister, Patty Edwards of Columbia
  • A step grandchild: Carter Malone
  • A host of other relatives and friends
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy may be made to the Christian Motorcycle Association or the Gideon Bible Fund and they can be made at the funeral home.
