Letter: Voting by mail

Ann Pearson writes:
I see no matter what the people of KY want the Gov appears determined to have our elections by mail. He wanted it done by mail and his order got a veto and KY was set to require an ID to vote and now he's over ridden that and again set it up to vote by mail. If we can stand in line at WalMart, the liquor store, the tobacco store and etc then why can't we show an ID and vote the same way. Is it only dangerous if we vote in person but safe to do everything else in person? Many politicians seem determined to make sure an ID is not required to vote and yet you must show one to get a bank account, buy tobacco, alcohol and etc but no ID is required for voting in our elections; why is that? --Ann
