Wal-Mart announces new hours, is hiring Update, March 20, 2020, 6:49amCT: The new store hours are to begin on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. We at CM apologize for the confusion. Manager Sam Scarborough at Columbia's Wal-Mart says the new hours starting March 24, 2020, will be 7amCT until 8:30pmCT during this effort to slow the growth of the coronavirus. Seniors over age 60 will be given priority shopping time of 6am to 7amCT at the store, the pharmacy and vision center also open on Tuesdays at this time. He said they are striving to continue full service to the community and also think of ways to you help customers stay safe. Employees are not being laid off at the Columbia Walmart, in fact, he said they are now hiring, looking for additional associates who are being added as fast as they can. All employees are restocking as fast as possible. The company is trying to hire people who may have been impacted by the loss of jobs in other businesses and industry.
