Ina Ree Melton Capps, 89, Cumberland County, KY

Ina Ree Melton Capps of Burkesville, KY, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020, at her residence, having attained the age of 89 years, 8 months, and 4 days.

The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday March 15, 2020 at 3pmCT in the Memory Chapel of the Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Jeff Vibbert and Bro. Tommy Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Capps-Key Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2020 after 4 until the funeral hour on Sunday.



She was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Tuesday, July 8, 1930, the daughter of Sam and Earlie (Guthrie) Melton. She was of The Church of Christ faith, member of the Burkesville Church of Christ, a store owner, and a caregiver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bradie Capps, daughter, Deborah Polston, grandson, Donald Polston, granddaughter, Dana Stilts, brothers, Norman Melton, Roy Melton, sisters, Emogene Melton, Jocie McCoy, Loretta Slaughter, sons-in-law, James Smith, Danny Stilts Sr., great-grandchild, Devin Polston.

She is survived by her children, Janice Stilts of Burkesville, Kentucky, Linda Smith of Burkesville, Kentucky, Sue Capps of Burkesville, Kentucky, sister, Lois Melton of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Danny, Christopher, David, Brian, Angela, Bradie, Bethney, Dalton, Gavin, Brooklyn, Kayden, Leland, Joseph, Sammie, Kindre, Kassidy, Kinsley, Kameron, Kelsey, Jordan, Austin, Kohen, Ainsleigh, Kyleigh, Jaxzen, several nieces and nephews, special friends, Lori Bowles, Becky Bagby, Julie Wood, and a special puppy, Pebbles.

Norris-New Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
