Three Blue Raiders compete at day two of NAIA Championships

Brookings, SD - Safia Bright, Jaylun Wallace, and Paige Pettell all competed today at day two of the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, South Dakota.



Bright earned the right to compete in two final races tomorrow for LWC. In the 60-meter dash preliminaries, Bright finished in fourth place with a time of 7.52. She will run in the finals tomorrow at 1:50 p.m. CT. In the 200-meter dash preliminaries, Bright corralled another fourth place finish with a time of 24.65. The finals for the 200-meter dash are slated for 3:15pmCT tomorrow.

Wallace competed in the 400-meter dash preliminaries, where he crossed the finish line in a time of 48.67 to end up in 12th place.

Pettell competed in her lone event of the day, placing 26th in the weight throw with a launch of 14.45 meters. She will be back in action tomorrow morning at 10amCT to partake in the shot put.

The third and final day of action for Lindsey Wilson picks back up Saturday morning at 10amCT with Pettell in the shot put. Bright will finish things off with the 60-meter dash finals at 1:50pmCT and the 200-meter dash finals at 3:15 p.m. CT. Live video and live results will be available for the competition.
