Macdonald earns All-American honor at NAIA Championships

The Lindsey Wilson women's swim team sits in 13th place after the second day of the NAIA National Championship.

Jessica Macdonald earned the Blue Raiders only NAIA All-American honor of the day. She did so in the 200-yard IM where she raced her way to a time of two minutes and 08.88 seconds in the prelims. She went on to capture sixth place in the finals with a time of 2:08.68.



The Lindsey Wilson pairing of Jaye Farthing, Narjiss Bourbouh, Nissrine Bourbouh and Macdonald finished in 13th place of the prelims of the 200-yard freestyle relay as they raced their way to a time of 1:41.78. In the B finals, the quartet finished in 14th after touching the wall in 1:42.54.

Nissrine Bourbouh, Macdonald, Narjiss Bourbouh and Farthing later teamed up in the 400-yard medley relay where they finished with the 13th best prelim time of 4:08.55. They slide two spots to 15th in the B finals with a time of 4:10.41.

Farthing and Emma Phillips competed in the 500-yard freestyle where they turned in times of 5:30.12 and 5:31.66. The pair finished in 36th and 41st, respectively.

SCAD Savannah is in first place with 293.5 total points.

Lindsey Wilson returns for day three of the NAIA National Championship on Friday at 10amCT.
