KSP: Marion Co. man charged with murder

Lebanon, KY - On Tuesday March 3, 2020, at approximately 6:25amET, units from Kentucky State Police Post 15, along with the Lebanon Police Department, responded to a shooting that occurred on Oak Street earlier that morning.

28 year old Tevaughn Porter of Lebanon, KY was located outside of residence on Oak street and sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Porter was pronounced deceased by the Marion County Coroner. Through investigations Detective B.J. Burton was able to locate and interview the suspect, 21 year old Treyvon Downs of Lebanon.


Downs was charged with Murder and was lodged in the Marion County Detention Center.

This incident remains under investigation by Detective B.J. Burton. Det. Burton was assisted at the scene by additional units from the Kentucky State Police Post 15, the Marion County Coroners office and the Lebanon Police Department.
