Josh Richard Gaskins, 28, Green Co., KY native (1991-2020)

Josh Richard Gaskins of Maynardville, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020. He was 28 years old.

Funeral services for Josh Gaskins will be conducted at 1pmCT on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Shane Gaskins officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia Cemetery in Columbia, Kentucky.

Visitation is requested from 5pmCT until 8pmCT on Friday, February 14, 2020 and after 7amCT on Saturday morning at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.


Josh Richard Gaskins was born September 10, 1991 in Taylor County, KY to Richard E. and Diane Helm Gaskins of Green County. He departed this life Sunday, February 9, 2020 in Maynardville, Tennessee, having attained the age of twenty-eight years, four months and twenty-nine days.

Josh was a 2010 graduate of Green County High School. He enjoyed playing with his kids, coon hunting, demolition derby cars, welding and riding the backroads, listening to music and hanging out with his friends. He is preceded in death by one son: Maverick Gaskins, one sister: Brittany Gaskins, grandparents: Phillip and Wanda Gaskins and Avery and Etta Helm and great grandfather: Paul Gaskins.

Besides his parents, he is survived by one son and two daughters: Jeremy and Cardin Gaskins of Maynardville, Tenn., and Sofia Goss Gaskins of Corbin, KY, great grandmother: Charlene Gaskins of Columbia, one brother and one sister: Jon and Jennifer Gaskins and Percilla Gaskins and Jairyd Smith of Greensburg, special girlfriend: Alexandria Kingrey of Maynardville, Tennessee, special aunt: Phyllis Gaskins of Columbia and special niece: Avereigh Gaskins of Greensburg plus a host of other relatives and friends.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home for the funeral expenses.
