Verina Laverne England Lile, 87, Green Co., KY (1932-2020)

Verina Laverne England Lile of Green County departed this life on Sunday, February 9, 2020. She was 87 years old.

The funeral services for Verina Laverne England Lile will be conducted at 11amCT on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Phillip Pursley officiating. Burial will follow in the Liletown Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Wednesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT on Thursday until the time of the funeral service.


Verina Laverne England Lile of Green County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Robert "Bob" England and Nora Elizabeth Jessie England, was born on Saturday, May 21, 1932 in Metcalfe County and departed this life on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Green Hill Rehab and Care Center. She was 87 years, 8 months, and 19 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Liletown United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Zachary Taylor "Doodle" Lile on December 24, 1951 who preceded her in death on January 18, 2011.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Shelia and Kenny Richerson of Greensburg; a grandson: Dylan Richerson of Greensburg; three brothers: Douglas England of Tennessee, Bobby N. England, and Harold R. England both of Indiana; a sister: Sue Armstrong of Shepherdsville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Lile was also preceded in death by two brothers: Willie L. England and Gary C. England.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or the Liletown Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
