Registration begins Monday, March 2nd for 4-H Summer Camp

Notice: Sign-ups for 4-H Camp begin March 2, 2020. Spots fill on a first-come first-served basis, along with the $50.00 non-refundable deposit. Visit the Adair County Extension Office location at 409 Fairground Street in Columbia anytime starting Monday, March 2, 2020, to secure your spot for 4-H Camp.

No Sign-ups for 4-H Camp will be taken until March 2nd.

Youth from Adair County can go to camp at Lake Cumberland 4-H Center May 26-29, 2020, with 4-H'ers from Green, Marion and Wayne Counties. The total cost for Camp is $230.00, which includes lodging, meals, etc. Once the $50.00 deposit is made, applicants will receive the 4-H Camp Packet with all necessary camp information.

There are camping spots available for approximately 25 boys and 50 girls. Beginning March 2nd, spots will be filled on a first come-first serve basis once the $50.00 deposit is paid.

Campers will take part in an organized program of activities such as swimming, boating, archery, hiking, crafts, outdoor education, folk games, camp fires, group sports and more. There'll be new friends and you'll learn more about citizenship, leadership, and getting along with others.



We will leave on Tuesday - May 26 and return on Friday - May 29th. The 4-H Agent will attend the entire camp as well several adult and teen leaders from Adair County. The group will travel via Adair County School buses with regular bus drivers driving.

Scholarship applications to attend 4-H camp will be available on March 2nd . ALL CAMPERS will be required to pay the $50.00 non-fundable deposit upon registration to secure a spot.

Remember these dates:
  • March 2, 2020 until spots are full: Camp Applications accepted, along with the $50.00 non-refundable deposit.
  • May 1, 2020: remaining fees, along with Camp Packet due to the Extension Office.
