Depression, Anxiety discussion is topic at CU chapel By Scarlett Birge, student news writer, Office of University Communications CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Dr. Scott Wigginton, associate director of Campbellsville University's Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy Program and professor of pastoral ministries and counseling; Dr. Ken Hollis, associate professor and director of marriage and family therapy at CU; and Whitney Brainard, a licensed marriage and family therapist, will be leading a panel discussion on "Depression & Anxiety" for the university's chapel service at 9amCT/10amETon Wednesday, January 29, 2020. The public is invited to attend this free service in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Avenue, Campbellsville, Ky. Wigginton has been serving at Campbellsville University since 2004. Previously, he served as the executive director of Life Care Counseling Center and counseling minister at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky. He also previously taught Christian counseling at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Boyce College. He received his Master of Divinity, Master of Theology and Doctor of Philosophy from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Western Kentucky University. Wigginton is an approved supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as a clinical member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and a fellow with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. He has been married to his wife, Elizabeth, since 1986 and they have three children: Auburn, Hope and Caleb, who graduated from Campbellsville University in 2018. Hollis has served three churches for over 35 years as a senior pastor and minister of education. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist. Hollis has worked at Campbellsville University since 2014. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Louisville and his Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care and Counseling as well as his Ph.D. in Christian Counseling and Marriage and Family Studies from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been married to his wife, Doretta, for nearly 40 years, and they have two daughters, two grandsons and one granddaughter. Brainard is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She works at Lighthouse Counseling of Campbellsville Baptist Church as well as Beacon of Hope in conjunction to Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Somerset. All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 15) and are streamed live on the internet at wlcutv.com. Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.
