By Christopher Coombs

Crestview Hills, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team used a huge offensive surge in the second half against Thomas More (KY) on Thursday evening to win 84-75 at the Connor Convocation Center.

In a tale of two halves, LWC found their rhythm in the second half after trailing by 12 points at the break to move to 14-7 overall and 3-4 in the Mid-South Conference.

Despite shooting just 36 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three in the first half, LWC was lights out in the second stanza, connecting on 71.4 (20-of-28) percent of their attempts from the field adding a 76.5 (13-of-17) percent mark from three. The Blue Raiders outscored the Saints 56-35 over the final 20 minutes.

After trailing 10-7 early in the action Stotts took over to give the Blue Raiders their first lead of the contest. Stotts knocked down back-to-back threes before generating a steal and uncontested layup to LWC a 15-12 lead with 13:48 to play.

Lindsey Wilson and Thomas More engaged in a back and forth battle as the two squads found themselves knotted at 24 with 7:34 on the clock. At the second media timeout of the half, the Saints managed to pull away slightly, knocking down two straight three-pointers after a Brooks layup to lead 30-26.

Thomas More outscored LWC 10-2 over the final 4:27 of the half to take a 40-28 lead at the break. LWC was 0-of-6 from the field following Brooks' basket at the 6:22 mark of the half which gave the Blue Raiders a 26-24 lead to that point.

Lindsey Wilson shot lights out in the second half. LWC missed just one shot over the first seven minutes of action going 6-of-7 from three while adding two layups to lead 53-52 with just over 13 minutes to play. The run quickly depleted a 12 point advantage the Saints held over the Blue Raiders.

Lindsey Wilson never looked back as they continued to push the pace, increasing their lead to as many as eight points with just less than nine minutes to play at 66-58. The Blue Raiders continued knocking down shots as they pushed their lead to 19 points - the largest of the night - at 84-65 with 2:21 to play before taking the contest 84-75
