Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 14 Jan 2020

Indictments brought against 21 individuals from Columbia, Danville, Russell Springs, and Liberty, KY and Gainesville, GA, on charges including possession, theft, DUI, assault, rape, trafficking, and unlawful transactions with a minor.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 14 January 2020:


  • Delores J. Vance, Marshall St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00001. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Bail set at $1,500 w/MCR.

  • Jamey R. Neat, Goode Redmon Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00002. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Assault, 2nd degree. Count 2 - Wanton Endangerment, 1st degree.

  • Leah M. Rogers (a/k/a Leah M. Bohannon), Franklin Terrace, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00003. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking/disposition - $500 or more but under $10,000. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $5,000 cash/SP.

  • Eric D. Rowe, W. Barbee St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00004. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree.

  • Jessica Wilson, E. Ila Ave., Danville, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00005. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property - firearm. Bail set at $1,500 cash/SP.

  • William Brice Gibson, Bonita Lane, Danville, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00006. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property, firearm. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Count 3 - Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Count 4 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., .08, 2nd offense. Count 5 - Operating on a suspended/revoked operators license.

  • Sarah Elizabeth Cox, Freeman Ave., Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00007. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Benjamin E. Shroyer, Fair Lane, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00008. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 3rd or subsequent offense, methmaphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Wyatt T. Long, Corbins Bend Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00009. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Resisting arrest. Count 4 - Public intoxication. Blanket bond w/19-CR-00055.

  • Juan M. Maldonado, Central Ave., Gainesville, GA Indictment No. 20-CR-00010. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - No operator's license. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Neil Bloyd, Bloyd Rd., Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00011. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia.

  • Jeremy Harold Kimbler, Edmonton Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00012. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Tampering with physical evidence. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 4 - Operating on a suspended/revoked operators license. Count 5 - No brake lights. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Adrian Victor Morales, Burkesville Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00013. Charged with 9 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Fleeing or evading police, 1st degree, on foot. Count 3 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Count 4 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree, police officer. Count 5 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Count 6 - Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Count 7 - Resisting arrest. Count 8 - Public intoxication. Count 9 - Receiving stolen property, less than $500. Bail set at $10,000 cash.

  • Andrew R. White, White Lane, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00014. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influece of alcohol/drugs/etc., .08, 4th or subsequent offense. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $5,000 cash.

  • Lewis J. Burton, Michael Dr., Liberty, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00015. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $10,000 cash/SP.

  • William Earl Perkins, Hwy 55 S., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00016. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Reckless driving. Count 4 - Obstructed vision and/or windshield. Bail set at $10,000 cash.

  • Carla Jean Perkins, Hwy 55 S., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00017. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • John L. Shelton, Black Burn Lane, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00018. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Barney L. Shepperson, Blossom Lane, Lebanon, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00019. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Bail jumping, 1st degree. No Bond.

  • James David Burnette, Mt. Tussell Rd., Knifley, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00020. Charged with 10 counts. Count 1 - Custodial interference. Count 2 - Custodial interference. Count 3 - Unlawful transaction with a minor, 1st degree/illegal controlled substance/victim under 18 years of age. Count 4 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 5 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 6 - Disregarding a stop sign. Count 7 - Failure to or improper signal. Count 8 - Unlawful transaction with a minor, 1st degree/illegal sex act/victim under 18 years of age. Count 9 - Rape, 3rd degree. Count 10 - Human trafficking, victim under 18 years of age. Bail set at $100,000 cash.

  • Shamarie Harper (a/k/a Shamarie Claiborne), Old Clear Springs Rd, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 20-CR-00021. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Custodial interference. Bail set at $2,500 cash/SP.
