Kay Shearer, 69, Russell County, KY (1950-2020)

Kay Shearer, 69, of Jamestown, Ky. died Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Russell County Hospital.

Funeral services will be 10amCT Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Casey Davis officiating. Visitation 5-8 PM. Wednesday and 8-10 AM. Thursday. Interment in the Jamestown Cemetery. Special music by Joshua Carey.

Pallbearers: Kevin Shearer, Nicholas Shearer, Kennedy Coffey Joshua Carey, Jack Shearer, Maddox Shearer. Honorary Pallbearers: Hank Coffey, Kash Coffey.



She was born October 3, 1950 in Russell County to the late Tulsa B. & Audrey Pearl Tucker McGowan.

She was a cook at the Russell County Middle School and a member of Jamestown Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Shearer; 8 siblings, Doyle McGowan, Don McGowan, Houston McGowan, Sharmain Wooldridge, Coy McGowan, David McGowan, Chuck McGowan, Timmy McGowan.

Survivors

Three children - Kimberly (Dale) Carey, Russell Springs, Kevin Scott (Joy) Shearer, Jamestown and Nicholas Jack (Jamie) Shearer, Jamestown

Seven grandchildren - Kennedy Coffey, Joshua Carey, Sophie Shearer, Jack Shearer, Maddox Shearer, Aubrey Kate Shearer, Sadie Grace Shearer

Two great grandchildren - Hank Coffey, Kash Coffey

Two brothers - Drew McGowan, Jamestown and Limmy McGowan, Jamestown

A sister - Lana White, Ashland, Ky

Bernard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
