LWC Men's basketball falls to Shawnee State 95-59 By Grace Blomstedt The No. 19-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team fell to Shawnee State 95-59 at Biggers Sports Center on Thursday. Lindsey Wilson finished the game shooting 34.4 percent from the floor and 34.5 from beyond the arc. Shawnee State shot 58.5 percent and 57.1 percent from behind the three-point line. The Bears outrebounded the Blue Raiders 51 to 26. Reece Brooks, Malik Hart and Payton Cundiff finished with 15, 14 and 12 points, respectively. Matthew Eldridge finished with a team-high six rebounds. Lindsey Wilson's slow start led to an early six-point deficit with 14:40 remaining in the opening half. Through eight minutes of play the Bears led 15-10 and had tallied 15 rebounds in contrast to LWC's four. Shawnee State would extend its lead to 10 at 32-22 with 6:19 left in the half. Brooks scored six points in the remainder of the half and the Bears would lead 46-35 entering halftime. Hart led the Blue Raiders with 12 points in the first 20 minutes of play. The Blue Raiders were outscored 49-24 in the second half. Lindsey Wilson was 8-of -26 shooting 30.8 percent from the field. LWC would also struggle from the foul line making 4-of-9 attempts. Shawnee State shot lights out in the half, making 21-of-33 shots for a 63.6 make percentage. The Bear's Justin Johnson finished with a game-high 19 points as two other Shawnee State players finished with double-digit points.
