Letter: Keep our focus on going forward By Billy Joe Fudge The glory days of what was a giant step forward from decades of subsistence farming to commercial family farming here in the Great Wooded South. Up to then, it was only an excess of tobacco, eggs, cream, veal calves, beef cattle and commercial poultry beginning in the 50s and 60s. No, things will never be the same and although I miss those days of close associations of family, friends and community, I suspect we should keep our focus on going forward while incorporating those virtues of the past into our travels.
