LWC Men's basketball travels to St. Louis on Saturday By Grace Blomstedt The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team travels to St. Louis to play against Missouri Baptist on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 3pmCT at the Petty Sports and Recreation Complex, Dink Marler Ln, Creve Coeur, MO. The Blue Raiders (10-3, 1-0 MSC) hit the road after defeating rival Campbellsville 77-63 on Dec. 7 at Biggers Sports Center. Lindsey Wilson shot 40 percent from beyond the arc, in contrast to Campbellsville's 28.6 percent. The Blue Raiders also outrebounded the Tigers 43 to 27. Lindsey Wilson currently ranks second in the Mid-South Conference in assists per game with 17.1 and scoring offense per game, averaging 87.6 points. The Blue Raiders rank third in NAIA Division I in total three-pointers made, connecting 150 times through 13 games. LWC also ranks in the top-10 nationally in total assists (222), total scoring offense (1139), total offensive rebounds (515), assist/turnover ratio (1.38), and three-pointers made per game (11.54). Reece Brooks leads the team and ranks first in the nation in total scoring, accounting for 256 of LWC's points. Brooks also ranks fourth nationally in total three-point field goals made and total assists with 41 and 72, respectively. Malik Hart averages 6.85 boards per game to lead the Blue Raiders. Kel Stotts averages 1.23 steals per game while averaging 13.8 points. Missouri Baptist (6-4, 2-3 AMC) returns to action after a 72-61 win against conference opponent Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) on Thursday, Dec. 12. On the season, the Spartans are led offensively by Jahmouri Robinson, averaging 15.6 points paired with a 44.1 field goal percentage. Aumonie Armond grabs 7.5 boards per game to lead the team while also contributing an average of 5.6 points. The Blue Raiders and the Spartans met earlier in the season on Nov. 15 at Biggers Sports Center, which resulted in a Missouri Baptist 92-85 victory. Lindsey Wilson finished the game shooting 49.1 percent from the floor and 40.6 from deep, while Missouri Baptist shot 48.4 percent from the field and 43.5 from behind the arc.
