After the lone goal by freshman midfielder Flavia Laich secured a 1-0 victory over Spring Arbor (MI) in the opening round match, the Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team is headed south to Orange Beach, Alabama to face Indiana Wesleyan in the NAIA National Championship Second Round. This marks the 18th time in program history the Blue Raiders have made an appearance in the Round of 16, where they have accumulated a 14-2-1 record in the match.

Lindsey Wilson and Indiana Wesleyan met this season in each team's first match, where the Blue Raiders were victorious 2-1 in overtime. The Wildcats were leading the match from the 22nd minute to the 88th minute until sophomore forward Sina Cavelti netted the game-tying goal nearing the end of regulation. Senior forward Amara Safuan secured the victory for Lindsey Wilson in the 98th minute with her golden goal. As it stands, the Blue Raiders are 8-2-0 all-time against the Wildcats.

For Lindsey Wilson (16-3-1) this season, Cavelti serves as the anchor for the team's offense, leading the team with 18 goals, 41 points, 80 total shots, and 40 shots on goal. Senior midfielder Emilie Liljered has notched nine goals and three assists this season and sits behind Cavelti with 21 points. Sophomore midfielder Thea Birgerud holds the team lead with nine assists and trails close behind Liljered with 19 points. On defense, senior goalkeeper Jovana Ivanovic has accumulated a 6-0-0 record, 48 saves, and three shutout victories.

Indiana Wesleyan (18-2-2) won their opening round match over Georgia Gwinnett by a final score of 2-0.
