Joe David Bennett, 78, Russell County, KY (1941-2019) Joe David Bennett, 78, of Jamestown, died Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the Russell County Hospital. Funeral services will be 2pmCT Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Dunbar and Jason Smith officiating. Visitation will be 11amCT to 2pm Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Flanagan Cemetery. He was born November 17, 1941 in Russell County, son of the late Joseph Power & Cora Brown Bennett. Joe was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and retired as a Tool & Die Maker at General Motors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Renea Waltz; and a brother, Jerry Bennett. Survivors include: His wife, Brenda Kaye Whetsel Bennett Four children - David Bennett, Franklin, IN; Jill Renay Watson, Lexington; Brandy (Jason) Smith, Whiteland, IN; Kayla (Dustin) Allen, Bargersville, IN Two special family members - Amanda & Jeff Meyers, Jamestown, Ky 11 grandchildren - Makenzie Watson, Lake Watson, Kennedy Watson, Aubrey Grace Bennett, Reagan Smith, Cooper Allen, Jude Smith, Drew Allen, Carlee Meyers, Collin Meyers, Casen Meyers A great grandson, Bennett Crew Watson Bernard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
