LWC Women's Basketball hosts Miami-Hamilton this afternoon

The No. 15-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team faces Miami University-Hamilton (Ohio) today at 3pmCT at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY.

The Blue Raider women's basketball team (7-1) tasted defeat for the first time in their last outing against No. 13-ranked Talladega (Ala.) by a final score of 75-66 on Wednesday night. Junior guard Reagan Turner led the way on offense with 22 points, while senior guard J'Nayah Hall chipped in a double-double notching 12 points and 10 rebounds.



Lindsey Wilson is led in scoring this season by Turner who is averaging 16.7 points per game. Turner has recorded double-digit scoring performances in all eight games this season, and currently ranks fifth in the NAIA in total scoring with her 134 total points scored. Junior guard Haeli Howard holds the team lead averaging 3.7 assists per game, with her season-high of five assists coming in three different games this season. Senior forward DeAsia Outlaw leads the Blue Raiders in rebounds per game (8.5), steals per game (2.7), and blocks per game (2.8). Outlaw holds four individual top 10 rankings in the NAIA, ranking second with 23 total blocks, sixth averaging 2.8 blocks per game, sixth with her 68 total rebounds, and ninth with her 22 total steals.

The Miami-Hamilton women's basketball team (1-4) fell short to UC Clermont 76-69 on Wednesday night. The Harriers have been outscored by their opponents 436-317 this season and have allowed 100 or more points in two games. The lone win for Miami-Hamilton came on October 28th, when they defeated Clark State (Ohio) 74-57. The Harriers bring a young roster into the matchup with Lindsey Wilson, listing 10 freshman and two sophomores.
