LWC Women's Soccer earns 15 MSC Academic honorees By Christopher Coombs Fifteen members of the Lindsey Wilson women's soccer program earned 2019 Academic Mid-South Conference honors, the conference office announced on Tuesday. Kelly Baker, Kat Barnwell, Thea Birgerud, Alix Castillo, Sina Cavelti, Kaitlyn Cook, Paula Espinoza, Eveljn Frigotto, Autumn Hunt, Jovana Ivanovic, Emelie Liljered, Abby Minnicks, Alicia Thoresen and Michelle Wyatt all earned the academic honor. Barnwell, Liljered, Cook, Hunt, Ivanovic and Wyatt all earn their third career honor, while Frigotto and Minnicks both picked up their second. In total, 120 Mid-South Conference women's soccer student-athletes earned Academic All MSC honors. Six institutions had double-digit student-athletes earn the award. Cumberlands (Ky.) led all schools with 26, while Georgetown (Ky.) had the second-most honorees with 18. Campbellsville (Ky.) had 16 student-athletes earn the award while Life (Ga.) joins Lindsey Wilson with 15. In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.
