LWC Women's Basketball hosts Berea tonight

The No. 15-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team hosts Berea (KY) tonight at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY, with the matchup beginning at 5pmCT.

The Blue Raider women's basketball team returns to the court after going 2-0 in the Indiana East University Classic, defeating Aquinas (MI) 65-63 on November 1st and Madonna (MI) 76-52 on November 2nd.



The Blue Raiders are led in scoring this season by junior Reagan Turner, who is averaging 15.3 points per game and has recorded double-digit scoring performances in all three games this season. Senior Jynea Harris is averaging a team-high 8.6 rebounds per game, with her season high of 11 coming in the last outing against Madonna. Junior Haleigh Howard averages the team-lead with four assists per game, which sits fourth best in the Mid-South Conference. Senior J'Nayah Hall has accumulated nine steals this season and leads the way for LWC averaging three per game. Senior DeAsia Outlaw has tallied a total of 13 blocks this season, which ranks first in the NAIA. Outlaw averages 4.3 blocks per game, which ranks her fourth in the NAIA this season.

The Berea women's basketball team returns to the floor this season after finishing with a 22-6 (14-2 USA SAC) record last season.

The Mountaineers return senior Briana Lanham from last season, who led Berea in scoring (12.5 ppg), rebounds per game (8.1 rpg), and steals per game (2.0 spg). Lanham shot 45.2% from the field and scored her season-high of 22 points in two games last season. Lanham also had six games where she grabbed double-digit rebounds, with her season-high coming against Agnes Scott where she grabbed 17 boards. The Mountaineers also return sophomore Bailee Vanover, who averaged 11.6 points per game. Vanover recorded a triple-double last season against Wesleyan (Ga.) on February 3rd scoring 11 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing 13 assists in a 122-17 victory.

Live video and live stats will be available for the game at Biggers Sports Center. The game between the Blue Raiders and Mountaineers is set to begin at 5 p.m. CT.
