Shelby C. Spears, 63, Marrowbone, KY (1956-2019) Mr. Shelby C. Spears of Marrowbone, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at his residence in Marrowbone, having attained the age of 63 years, 1 month, and 28 days. The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at 11amCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main St, Burkesville, KY. Burial will be in the Mud Camp Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. He was born in Glasgow (Barren County), Kentucky on Wednesday, August 29, 1956, the son of Cecil Otto and Mattie Bell (Willis) Spears. He was of Christian faith and a self-employed truck driver, having also driven for Ken Gas and Matt York. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Spears, and a sister, Minnie Jean Branham. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Spears of Marrowbone, Kentucky, children, Michael C. (and Angela) Spears of Burkesville, Kentucky, and Leticia Jo (and Jeffery) Cyphers of Burkesville, Kentucky, sisters, Wilma Dean (and Jack) Watson of Marrowbone, Kentucky, Nelda Mae Farlee of Burkesville, Kentucky, Charlene Scott (and Bobby) of Marrowbone, Kentucky, Sherry Smith (and Terry) of Lexington, Kentucky, grandchildren, Matthew Curtis Spears, Andrew Kyle Spears, Allie Jo Cyphers, and mother-in-law, Mary Ruth Smith Burns of Burkesville, Kentucky. Memorials may be made to the Mud Camp Cemetery in his memory. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky is honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
