William Raymond Robertson, 83, Greensburg, KY native (1936-2019)

William Raymond "Slim" Robertson of Park City, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. He was 83 years old.

The funeral services for Mr. William Raymond "Slim" Robertson will be conducted at 11amCT on Monday, October 28, 2019, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Bro. Roger Robertson will be officiating.

Visitation is requested after 9amCT on Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.


Mr. William Raymond "Slim" Robertson of Park City, Kentucky, a native of Greensburg, son of the late John Robertson and Flossie Young Robertson, was born on Monday, April 13, 1936 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. He was 83 years, 6 months, and 10 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Lafayette Church of Christ, Creasy Lane in Lafayette, Indiana. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army and was a self-employed mechanic.

Survivors include two daughters: Mary Lois Robertson of Glasgow, and Jacquelyn Evans of Frankfort; a son and daughter-in-law: William Anthony "Tony" and Kim Robertson of Glasgow; six grandchildren: Wesley Israel, Elizabeth Wallace, Ricky Evans, Chris Evans, Andy Evans and Tiffany Evans all of California; six great-grandchildren: Kirstin, Kerissa, Laydon, Alivia, Savannah, and Zachary; a sister and brother-in-law: Lois Dale and Jim Myers of the Exie Community of Green County; a brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth U. and Debbie Robertson of Glasgow; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Robertson was also preceded in death by a sister and three brothers: Joyce Young Martin, James E. Robertson, Willard Robertson, and Ray Junior Robertson.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, which can be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Jim Myers, Kenneth Robertson, Brad Robertson, Michael Robertson, Mark Dickson, Spencer Dickson.
