LWC Men's Basketball opens season vs Ohio State-Mansfield

The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team opens the 2019-20 season at 3pmCT Saturday, October 26 against Ohio State- Mansfield in Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY.

The Blue Raiders are coming off a 16-15 season with a 6-8 Mid-South Conference record. Lindsey Wilson averaged 78.6 points per game last season while allowing an average of 70.8 points. LWC averaged more assists, rebounds, blocks, and steals than its counterparts.



Lindsey Wilson returns three student-athletes from last season. Kel Stotts returns for his junior season after playing and starting in 30 of LWC's 31 games. Stotts led the Blue Raiders averaging 15.4 points and 31.8 minutes per game and was named to the All Mid-South Conference Second Team.

Matthew Eldridge returns for Lindsey Wilson after starting in 18 games last season. Eldridge averaged 13.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. He marked a .549 field goal percentage while posting a .80 free throw percentage. Payton Cundiff competed in 30 games for the Blue Raiders, averaging a team-high three-point percentage (.467) and 8.6 points per game.

Lindsey Wilson also returns Jordan Hamlette who was out last season due to injury. In the 2017-2018 season, Hamlette competed in 28 contests and averaged 11.4 points per game.

Ohio State - Mansfield opens its season Friday, Oct. 25 against Campbellsville (Ky.) before traveling the additional 20 minutes to Columbia.

Saturday's matchup between the Blue Raiders and the Mavericks is the 13th meeting between the two programs. Last season's matchup resulted in a 109-44 victory for Lindsey Wilson. LWC leads the series 12-0.
