Donna Jean Elliott, 55, Burkesville, KY (1964-2019)

Miss Donna Jean Elliott of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 55 years, 7 months, and 6 days.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 1pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main St, Burkesville, KY, with Sister Sandra Pace and Bishop Leon Link officiating.

The family will receive friends after 5pmCT on Friday, October 25, 2019 until the funeral hour on Saturday.


She was born in Albany, (Clinton County) Kentucky on Tuesday, March 14, 1964, the daughter of Otis Keith and Patty Nell (Lawson) Elliott.

She was of Pentecostal faith, a member of Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. Graduated Cumberland County High School (Class of 1982), Western Kentucky University Nursing School, was a registered nurse for more than 20 years having worked at Cumberland County Hospital, Greenview Hospital, Cumberland Valley Manor, Summitt Manor, T.J. Sampson Hospital, Pickett County Care and Rehab and Family Home Health.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Akra Elliott Wilburn, and Audrey Elliott Tooley. And nieces, Jessica Elliott, and Damitra Tooley.

She is survived by her mother, Patty Nell (Lawson) Elliott, daughters, Jasmine Shanell Elliott (and Seth Steele) of Burkesville Kentucky, and Jaelyn Celeste Stailey of Bowling Green Kentucky, sister Denise Angela "Angie" (and Ricky) Hamilton of Burkesville Kentucky, brother Edsel Keith Elliott of Burkesville Kentucky. grandson, Tripton Carter Steele, of Burkesville Kentucky. Nieces and Nephews Nathan Wilburn, Colletta Espinosa, Adrienne Jackson, Ricky Tolley, Jr., Camitra "Sissy" Connor, Jory Elliott, Patrick Hamilton, Paige Gibson, Dakota Elliott, Devon Elliott, and Aubrey Elliott, Several Great-nieces and nephews also survive.
