Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 15 Oct 2019

Indictments brought against 19 individuals from Columbia, New Haven, Russell Springs, Campbellsville, Hodgenville, and Somerset, KY, on charges including possession, trafficking, burglary, assault, nonsupport, abandonment, and wanton endangerment.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 15 October 2019:


  • Ashely R. Stotts, Guthrie St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00177. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Vicki N. Hodges, Glenmary St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00178. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Gary Wayne Kinder, Eddie Miles Rd., New Haven, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00179. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 3rd+ offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Public intoxication. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • William Earl Perkins, Hwy 55 S, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00180. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine, firearms enhanced. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Possession of marijuana. Bail set at $10,000 cash.

  • Christopher Lee Stephens, Voils Rd., Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00181. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Following another vehicle too closely. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Freeman E. Leas, Edna Dr., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00182. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Theft by unlawful taking/disposition, under $500. Bail set at $2,500 cash.

  • Tony Hadley, Fairplay Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00183. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $10,000 cash.

  • Adrian Victor Morales, Burkesville Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00184. Charged with 8 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Count 2 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 3 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Count 4 - Giving a peace officer false identifying information. Count 5 - No operator's license. Count 6 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 7 - Possession of marijuana. Count 8 - No/expired registration plates. Bail set at $5,000 cash.

  • Amber Marie Taylor, Earl Dr., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00185. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $10,000 cash.

  • Joseph T. Billingsley, Broadway, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00186. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Possession of marijuana. Count 4 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., .08, first offense. Count 5 - No operator's license. Count 6 - No tail lamps. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Charles Dale Coffey, Taylor Blvd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00188. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Bail set at $2,500 cash/SP.

  • Jessy A. McQueary, Melissa Dr., Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00189. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Steven Paul Brown, Bell Hollow Rd., Hodgenville, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00190. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Robert E. Campbell, Jr., Liberty Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00191. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia.

  • Austin S. Coomer, Ingram Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00192. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 10+ dosage units, drug unspecified, schedule I or II. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 4 - Trafficking in marijuana, <8oz, 1st offense. Count 5 - Public intoxication.

  • Donovan D. Morton, Lee Bob Carter Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00193. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd or subequent offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 4 - No operator's license. Count 5 - No tail lamps.

  • Edward Shane Simpson, Saloma Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00194. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Flagrant nonsupport. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $2,000 cash non-ref.

  • Amanda C. Jardinez, Breezy Hill, Somerset, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00195. Charged with 12 counts. Count 1 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 2 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 3 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 4 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 5 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 6 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 7 - Abandonment of minor. Count 8 - Abandonment of minor. Count 9 - Abandonment of minor. Count 10 - Abandonment of minor. Count 11 - Abandonment of minor. Count 12 - Abandonment of minor. Bail set at $20,000 cash.

  • James Alexander Holovich, Jr., Sunrise Trail, Somerset, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00196. Charged with 12 counts. Counts 1-6 - Complicity to commit abandonment of a minor. Counts 7-12 - Complicity to commit wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Bail set at $20,000 cash.
