LWC Men's and Women's Swimming host Asbury Friday By Grace Blomstedt The Lindsey Wilson College men's and women's swimming teams host Asbury (KY) on Friday, October 11, 2019, at 5pmCT in the Holloway Center Natatorium, Holloway Health & Wellness Center, 399 Williams St., Columbia, KY. Lindsey Wilson is back in the pool after competing against Mid-South Conference opponent Cumberlands (KY) last Saturday. The Blue Raider men's swimming team (0-1) was victorious in four events in the 161-95 loss to the Patriots. Reece Kincaid won the 200-yard butterfly with a B-cut standard time (two minutes and 45 seconds) and the 200-yard individual medley by touching the wall in 2:03.51. James de Goede placed first in the 100-yard freestyle with a B-cut (49.44), while William Thilwind won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:02.19. De Goede in the 100-yard backstroke with the time of 54.01 marked the lone individual A-cut standard time. Lindsey Wilson tallied a total of four B-cut standard times and four relay A-cut times. Friday marks the 11th meeting between the men's programs in a dual meet, with Asbury leading the series 6-4. The most recent matchup resulted in a 131-56 Blue Raider victory last season. Lindsey Wilson women's swimming (0-1) returns to action after falling to Cumberlands 166-87. The Blue Raiders recorded two first-place finishes, six A-cut standard times, and three B-cuts. Jessica Macdonald earned the two first-place finishes in the 200-yard individual medley with a B-cut (2:17.11) and in the 100-yard freestyle with an A-cut (55.07). Macdonald swam an A standard in the 200-yard freestyle while finishing second with a time of 2:01.42. Narjiss Bourbouh recorded two A-cut times in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.52 and the 200-yard butterfly with a 2:15.89.02. The two remaining A-cuts were swum by relays. Friday will be the 10th meeting between the women's programs in a dual meet, with the Eagles leading the series 7-2. Last season's matchup resulted in a 113-90 win for Lindsey Wilson.
