Extension Homemakers Week, Oct 13-19, 2019

County Judge-Executive Gale Cowan and Mayor Pam Hoots have signed a Proclamation declaring October 13-19, 2019, as Extension Homemakers Week in Adair County.

This Fall, Adair County Extension Homemakers are celebrating their 70th anniversary of Extension Homemaker clubs in Adair County. The first organized club was the Bliss Club in 1949. The Homemakers Annual Meeting will be October 24th at 6:00 pm at the Extension Office. Special guest speakers will be family members of the Extension Homemakers from the past sharing their memories and stories of what Extension Homemakers meant to their family.

Mrs. Eva Wilkinson, pictured above center, is currently the oldest living Extension Homemaker in Adair County and currently has the highest tenure of membership in Adair County Extension Homemakers.
