LWC volleyball returns home against Life Friday By Grace Blomstedt The No. 10-ranked volleyball team hosts Life (Ga.) Sept. 13 at 5pmCT in Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. The Blue Raiders (9-2, 3-0 MSC) return home after three-weeks of matches on the road and a three-set win against Cumberlands (Ky.) on Tuesday. Lindsey Wilson currently ranks eleventh in hitting percentage (.232) while only allowing their opponents to hit .136. Kasia Niderla continues to lead the offensive effort with 156 kills while boasting the best hitting percentage in the NAIA (.455). A trio of Blue Raiders has led the defense by recording triple-digit digs. Peyton Johnston leads the way with 178 and is joined by Elly Burke (116) and Lauren Larzelere (110). The Running Eagles (9-4, 1-1 MSC) are coming off a four-set win against Mid-South Conference opponent Campbellsville (Ky.) Thursday night. Life ranks eighth in total digs with 943 and this is led by Marin Black with 218. Life's offense ranks thirteenth in total assists (616) and thirteenth in total kills (666). Taylor Parrish has tallied 485 assists while Lena Pucnik has recorded 129 kills. This marks the 11th meeting between the Blue Raiders and the Running Eagles. LWC leads the series 10-0.
