Letter: Hwy 55 turn lanes need work for safety

Maury E Lewis writes:
If someone is coming in from the north, headed south on Highway 55 and needs to turn into Dr. Giles' office, the pharmacy or the gas station, when they finish it, has to stop in a passing lane to make a left turn into any of these businesses. Can they shorten the passing lane for the safety of the people stopped in that lane and the ones coming up behind them?

Can they make them turn lanes? --Melewi

Maury, good thinking!! I hope this will be done as quickly as the State Highway Department can make it happen.
