KSP: Traffic stop leads to drug arrest By Tpr. Nick Hale On Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019, at approximately 7:48pmCT, Trooper Levi Scott was patrolling on the Cumberland Parkway in the limits of Columbia, when he initiated a traffic stop on a 1995 Ford Ranger for a traffic violation. Consent to search the vehicle was given resulting in a large amount of suspected methamphetamine and a set of digital scales being located. The operator, 21 year old Donovan Morton of Columbia, was arrested and charged with Improper equipment, no operator-moped license, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (> or 2 grams methamphetamine.)
