Letter: Adair Schools enrollment question Billy Joe Fudge writes: Where does the total number of students fit, historically speaking? Are the numbers increasing, decreasing or remaining relatively static? --BJFThanks for writing. We got the following information from Robbie Harmon, Dean of Students/Director of Pupil Personnel at Adair County Schools. It looks like enrollment has been fairly stable over the last 7 years, with a peak occurring in the 2014-2015 school year.
We've asked him about recent previous decades for comparison, and we'll update if the information can be tracked down. We did find in an old issue of the Adair County News that enrollment in the 1960's was as much as 2,998 when Wallace Coomer was Superintendent (1966).
