RC coaches report on world games

From Coaches Michael Carpenter, David Hammond and Brian Aaron

The Russell Co 15u Babe Ruth team got a huge win in the World Series against a very good Northern Washington team on Monday by a score of 6-0. Nathan Lawson pitched a complete game shut-out, allowing only 2 hits in the game. Nick Aaron made some big plays on defense as well. This win puts Russell Co. in the single elimination bracket play which starts today (Tuesday). These games will all be streamed live. Links are available at www.bisparks.org (Flash Player required). The game is set to begin at 5:00pm today.

Russell Co. is one of only 6 teams still playing from all over the United States. This is such a great accomplishment, especially for a community as small as ours. These kids have been complimented several times by other teams, including the team and coaches from China, on their sportsmanship and the way they behave. They are representing our community very well. As always, they want to thank the community for your continued support!
