ACSO: Adair man arrested after stolen firearm located By Sheriff Josh Brockman Adair County Sheriff's Office The Adair County Sheriff's Office received a report of a stolen handgun on Monday, August 5, 2019. During investigation, deputies learned that the gun was at a Russell County residence. Acting on that information, Deputy Justin Cross proceeded to the location, where he met officers from the Russell County Sheriff's Office. The firearm was recovered, and as a result, on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, Hunter Young, 18, was arrested for Theft By Unlawful Taking of a Firearm. He was lodged in Adair County Regional Jail. Deputy Justin Cross was assisted by Deputy Josh Durbin. NOTE: An arrest is not a finding of guilt. An individual placed under arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding. This story was posted on 2019-08-09 14:18:22
