Felted Soap Workshop at Extension Office By Tony Rose A Felted Soap Workshop will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service. Time for the workshop will be from 5pmCT to 6:30pmCT at the Extension Office located at 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY. Cost of the workshop is $15 per participant. To register for the workshop contact the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service at 270-384-2317. Registration deadline is August 26, 2019. Kentucky Proud Shetland wool will be used to create a bar of felted soap. Each participant will use raw wool, learn to process the raw wool into a usable product and leave the workshop with a bar of felted soap for their personal use. If participants have skin allergies or require the use of a particular brand of soap, they should bring their own bar of soap. Otherwise, the soap will be provided. Educational programs of Kentucky Cooperative Extension serve all people regardless of economic or social status and will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnic origin, national origin, creed, religion, political belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, marital status, genetic information, age, veteran status, or physical or mental disability.
