Two dead in apparent Taylor County murder/suicide

A Campbellsville woman was shot and killed in an apparent murder/suicide Saturday night, August 3, 2019 on Lyle Road, between Campbellsville and Columbia.

Taylor County Sheriff Allen Newton told 99.9 The Big Dawg that 43 year old Jennifer Bennett of Campbellsville was found lying on the ground with a single gunshot wound.

Police then found 44 year old Anthony Underwood of Hodgenville with a self inflicted gunshot wound.



Bennett Was pronounced dead by Taylor County Coroner Daniel Cook. Underwood was airlifted to UK Hospital in Lexington where he died.

The murder suicide occurred at 6pmET Saturday night and was investigated by the Taylor County Sheriffs Department.
