Letter: Link updated

Harry Mack writes:
It appears that The Journal-Enterprise does not want anyone to read the full article. The link takes you to a page where they want you to log in or subscribe. This is the case with many sites that post stories and then provides a link to the full story, not just yours. I can't understand why a publication thinks someone is going to subscribe just to read one article. When I run into one of those, I just close it out. If it is a story that may have state or national coverage, I will do a search to find another publication that has the story without all the log-in or subscribe baloney. I am not mad at you because you were probably not aware of this. --Harry

Harry, Thanks for writing, and apologies for the link -- we've pulled the summary from our front page, and marked the link as "Subscription Required" so that folks will know what to expect before anyone clicks it in the future. --Pen
